In an interview with the Progress, our CEO Inès Besbes shared his vision on the rise of “tracances”, this fusion between teleworking and vacations. Since the end of the pandemic, this new form of flexibility has been gaining ground, and at Seedext, we quickly adopted this practice to meet the needs of our employees.
Inès explained that we have set up the arrangements for our teams, especially during the summer and Christmas vacations. “Our employees take advantage of these periods to ease the pressure before leaving on vacation or to resume smoothly,” she said. This hybrid model promotes an optimal balance between wellness and productivity.
At Seedext, we ensure that negotiations remain effective by organizing the days with well-defined rituals. “Every morning at 9 am and every evening at 6 pm, we take a quick look at the progress of projects”, adds Inès. These moments of exchange allow the team to stay aligned, even at a distance.
To make this approach even smoother, we integrated our AI tool for automatically transcribing and summarizing meetings. Throwing employees can thus stay up to date on important discussions and decisions, without having to attend all meetings. This tool boosts productivity and maintains a strong connection between teams, no matter where they are.
Although tracances provide a lot of flexibility, they are not suitable for all jobs. Some roles, such as those requiring a lot of social interactions, are less suitable for this way of working. “At Seedext, we adapt this option to the specific needs of each team,” explains Inès.
The younger generations in particular favour this model. We are seeing more and more candidates asking if this flexibility is available right from the interview. Seedext meets this demand by combining tech and suppleness, to offer a modern and efficient working environment.
